Dangerous goods

Dangerous Goods Declaration

The signed document in which the shipper declares exactly what dangerous goods are in a shipment and that they are packed correctly.

In practice

For sea it follows the IMDG multimodal form; for air it is the IATA Shipper's Declaration. Must be signed by a trained person. The carrier will not load DG without it, and a wrong DGD makes the shipper liable for any incident.
