Entry Summary Declaration

A security filing the carrier must submit to EU customs before cargo is loaded for Europe.

In practice

Required under the EU ICS (Import Control System) at least 24 hours before loading for deep-sea cargo. Carriers charge an ENS fee per B/L to cover it. The forwarder must give accurate consignee and cargo details in time.
